Bespoke Tailoring — Patiala, India

The Measure of a Man

Garments composed, not produced. A single cloth, a single gentleman, a thousand quiet decisions.

The House

A discipline of patience, devoted entirely to one man at a time.

Libas is not a shop. It is a workroom where time slows, where a length of cloth is studied before it is touched, and where the finished garment carries the quiet confidence of having been made for no one else in the world.

For three generations our cutters have worked the lanes behind Chandni Chowk, dressing grooms, statesmen and gentlemen who understand that elegance is never loud.

We do not follow seasons.

We do not chase trends.

We build garments to outlive them.

The Bespoke Journey

Seven movements, from a conversation to a creation.

01

Consultation

An unhurried conversation. We learn the man before we measure him — his life, his occasions, his intent.

Fabric Selection

From bunches of the world’s finest mills — super 150s wools, raw silks, hand-loomed weaves — a single cloth is chosen.

03

Measurements

More than thirty measurements, and the things between them — posture, gait, the way a shoulder falls.

04

Pattern Creation

A paper pattern is drafted by hand, unique to one body. It is kept, named, and never reused.

Tailoring

Canvas floated by hand, lapels rolled, hundreds of hidden stitches that no one will ever see — and everyone will feel.

06

Fittings

The garment returns to the body again and again, refined by a quarter-inch at a time until it disappears into the wearer.

Delivery

Pressed, wrapped, and presented. The beginning of a relationship that lasts decades.

The Collections

Six houses of craft, one standard of excellence.

The Cloth

Everything begins with the hand of the cloth.

We source from the great mills of England and Italy, and from the looms of our own subcontinent. Each bunch is chosen for weight, fall, and the way light moves across the weave. Run a thumb across it once, and you will understand the difference between clothing and craft.

Craftsmanship

The luxury you cannot see.

  • Floating canvas. A full chest-piece sewn by hand, never glued, so the jacket shapes to you over time.
  • Hand-rolled lapels. A soft, living roll that no machine has ever replicated.
  • Pick-stitched edges. Hundreds of near-invisible stitches that signal a true bespoke hand.
  • Functioning surgeon’s cuffs. Buttonholes worked by hand, the quiet signature of the made-to-measure.

In Their Words

“I have been dressed in Milan and in London. Nothing has fit me like the bandhgala Libas made for my wedding.”

Arjun M. — Chandigarh

“They remembered my posture, my preferences, my last fitting from two years ago. This is not service. It is memory.”

Rajveer S. — Delhi

“The suit arrived and I did not need to adjust a thing. For the first time, I forgot I was wearing clothes at all.”

Kabir A. — Patiala
